Is It Bad To Keep Artificial Flowers at Home?

If you pay attention, you will find that some people are concerned about Feng Shui issues, such as filling the house with too many fake flowers and artificial plants, attracting many fake relationships. Although these cannot be verified, there has never been a stop to the relevant statements. Feng Shui is about creating energy balance (yin and yang). Therefore, it is okay to put a few fake plants, but don't put too many.

Fake vs. Real

We all know that fake flowers and artificial plants are made of synthetic materials, and they don't have the benefits of real flowers and fake plants. Fresh flowers and plants bring great yang energy, which brings good luck to the home. Once flowers and plants begin to wilt or rot, they quickly turn into a source of negative energy. Therefore, if you like to keep flowers and plants indoors, you must be careful not to let this happen. Throw away the flowers or plants once they begin to fade/wilt.

Where to put them?

Flowers and plants are suitable for living rooms and dining rooms. It is not recommended to place live plants in bedrooms because they bring too much yang energy.

On the other hand, fresh flowers and plants are suitable for giving to hospitalized patients. Giving flowers and plants is considered auspicious and will bring yang energy to the recipient.

Another place to avoid is the toilet. Over-decorating or placing auspicious flowers and symbols in the toilet will bring energy to bad corners, causing chaos. In many of Mr. Zhou's ghost story podcasts, they often mention that the toilet is the entrance and exit of the ghost gate. It is best to keep the toilet lid closed when not in use, and the door should also be kept closed. It is said that the toilet will cause bad feng shui no matter which corner it is located. Therefore, it is best to build a small and hidden toilet.

If you are like me and cannot take care of real flowers and plants, it is best to use artificial flowers and plants. All you need to do is not to crowd them together or put them in the wrong place.

Remember that artificial flowers or plants are better than dried flowers, which symbolize yang and life energy, while dried flowers represent yin and death energy. When choosing display plants, choose those with broad and round leaves of the Ficus family. Money trees with juicy leaves like jade are a good choice.

Avoid plants with thorns, especially cacti. Cacti will bring bad energy to people around them.
