While this is a fun way to deck the halls, repairing the damage done to the walls when hanging wreaths is not as fun. Self-adhesive hooks

Using self-adhesive hooks is one of the best ways to hang wreaths without drilling holes in the wall. Self-adhesive hooks come in a variety of sizes to hold different weights. Be sure to buy hooks that are large enough to handle the weight and size of the branches of your wreath.

Self-adhesive hooks work on a variety of surfaces, from drywall to tile, so they work equally well on the wall around a door frame as they do on a tile backsplash around a kitchen window.

Use multiple hooks to secure your wreath, placing one at each end of the wreath and several midpoints throughout the length of the wreath to support its weight.

Fishing Wire

If your garland is too thick to use on a self-adhesive hook, you can use fishing wire to make a loop around the garland and then place the loop on the hook. There are two main benefits to using fishing wire – it’s made of sturdy nylon that won’t break easily, and it’s transparent so it won’t be visually distracting.

Floral Wire

Always use wire cutters to cut your floral wire to the right size, as it’s easy to damage your scissors if you try to use them.
